Security Requirements by Statute
In accordance with its statutory responsibilities under the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) developed information security standards and guidelines, including minimum requirements for federal information systems – including mobile application security requirements.
OZZI GOV meets Federal mobile application security requirements through its NIAP compliance. NIAP Protection Profiles (PPs) specify an implementation-independent set of security requirements for a category of information technology (IT) products that meet specific Federal customer needs.
Authentication to OZZI GOV is owned and managed completely by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s identity management system – GEOAxIS. This authentication layer passes an encrypted token to vetted mobile applications ensuring zero access to any user personally identifiable information (PII).
Getting a GEOAxIS ID is easy! Navigate to https://geoaxis.nga.mil/ on a CAC/PIV enabled machine.
Approved CAC/PIV cards include, but are not limited to, LincPass, Smart Card, CAC, and any card issued by the GSA HSPD-12 Managed Service Office (MSO) US Access program, which streamlined the process for Federal agencies to issue HSPD-12 approved credentials to their employees and contractors.
Privacy First Approach
The OZZI GOV mobile app does not collect, store, or share the personally identifiable information of any users.
With OZZI GOV, your data is secure and private.
